Concerned about meeting the expectations of its members, the HI France network has deployed services in its youth hostels to meet the needs of cyclotourists.
The « Accueil Vélo » label, held by 32 HI France youth hostels to date, guarantees a certain quality of welcome for cyclotourists, thanks to various services made available to them.
It’s under the aegis of France Vélo Tourisme that the label « Accueil Vélo » was created. Driven by the strong growth of bicycle tourists, this label guarantees them a welcome and quality services, all along the bicycle routes of the French territory. Different types of establishments can be « Accueil Vélo » such as : an accommodation, a cycle rental company, a cycle repairer, a restaurant, a tourist office but also a tourist site. There are currently nearly 7000 « Accueil Vélo » offers in France.
The ambition of the HI France network is to extend this label to the largest number of youth hostels.
Thus, through this label, the youth hostels guarantee to the cyclists the following elements:
