General Questions

The FUAJ is a non-profit association created in 1956.
Through its statutes, it is committed to promoting meetings between people of all ages, from all over the world and with respect for differences. International youth meetings, in particular, contribute to the emergence of an international citizenship that promotes openness and tolerance – a strong message for future generations – and help to fight against exclusion linked to age, disability, social level and nationality.

The FUAJ, United Federation of Youth Hostels, is an association under the law of 1901. It is the French link of Hostelling International (HI). HI brings together national youth hostel organizations (such as FUAJ). It represents 2,500 youth hostels in 58 countries, making it the largest network in the world.
