Class trip to the seaside

The objective of this stay is to discover the origins of the formation of this region and how the sea, a living medium, source of life can modify our environment.

LEVEL: Primary / Middle school / High school

The Opal Coast, a French coastal region, is located in front of the cliffs of the south-east of England, the border between the North Sea and the English Channel. The educational content focuses on the discovery of the cliffs of the coastline, the biodiversity of the estuary through geological observation, flora and fauna. The visit of the National Sea Center Nausicaá, highlights the relationship between Man and the sea. Start with a nature hike, then visit Cap Blanc Nez and Cap Gris Nez. On the second day, go on an adventure with the sand yacht or sea kayak activity that are offered. Finally, immerse yourself in the marine world of the National Sea Center NAUSICAÁ. Halfway between the port and the old town.

Day 1
Afternoon: nature hike, guided visit of the 2 capes, from the Blanc Nez cape, classified as a great natural site to the Gris Nez cape, a high place of passage for the migratory avifauna.

Day 2
Morning: sand yacht or sea kayak activity on the beach of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
Afternoon: free visit of the National Center of the sea NAUSICAÁ.
